I was born in the Philippines and moved to Canada at the age of 15. I later graduated as an Addiction Counsellor in Saskatchewan, where I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals living with substance use and mental health challenges. Through compassion, empathy, and genuine care, I strive to walk alongside people during some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

My passion for serving others began long before this foundation. Since the age of 19, I have been involved in charitable work by volunteering with organizations, providing food and essential supplies to people experiencing homelessness in Saskatoon, supporting various charitable causes, and donating supplies to orphanages and youth detention facilities in the Philippines. These experiences have shaped my belief that every life deserves dignity, compassion, and hope.

Alongside helping people, I have been advocating for animals in the Philippines since 2020. My work extends beyond stray dogs and cats to include animals with owners who were living in situations of severe neglect or abuse and required intervention to ensure their safety and well-being. Through these experiences, I have witnessed both the heartbreaking reality of animal cruelty and the extraordinary resilience, loyalty, and unconditional love that animals continue to show despite the suffering they have endured.

Growing up in the Philippines, there was very little education about animal welfare, and many people, including myself, grew up with misconceptions about stray animals and rabies. Because of this, I was afraid of animals for many years.

Everything changed in 2020 when I made the decision to face that fear and welcomed my first puppy, Snowball, into my life. Through him, I experienced unconditional love, trust, and companionship unlike anything I had known before. He inspired me to educate myself about animal behaviour, responsible pet ownership, and the importance of animal welfare. What began as overcoming fear soon became a lifelong purpose. I now have two other dogs - Charlie and Tobi.

For nearly six years, I have personally funded and coordinated rescue efforts throughout the Philippines. This has included sponsoring veterinary treatments, supporting small grassroots shelters and independent rescuers, coordinating emergency rescues and pet transportation, facilitating stray feeding, advocating for accountability in animal abuse cases, promoting humane education, and raising awareness about responsible pet ownership.

Much of this work has been done quietly and independently, often funded from my own income. To help sustain these rescue efforts, I have even collected and recycled bottles and cans to raise additional funds—doing whatever I could to continue helping animals while also supporting people in need.

Over time, I realized that while one person can save a few animals, a community of compassionate people can save countless more. If one individual can make a difference, imagine how many lives we can change when more people open their hearts to animals. That realization became the driving force behind creating this foundation—not simply to rescue more animals, but to inspire others to become part of the solution.

Recognizing that these efforts had grown beyond what one person could accomplish alone, I founded Voiceless No More: Philippines Stray Animals Foundation, a federally registered Canadian non-profit organization. 

Our mission is to rescue vulnerable dogs and cats, intervene in cases of abuse and neglect, and provide them with access to veterinary care while helping them find safety through trusted shelters, sanctuaries, foster care, or loving permanent homes. We also support fundraising for animals requiring urgent medical treatment, sponsor spay and neuter initiatives and stray feeding programs, and collaborate with trusted animal welfare organizations, rescuers, veterinary clinics, pet transportation providers, and community partners to maximize our impact. Through rescue initiatives, advocacy, and humane education, we are committed to promoting animal welfare, responsible pet ownership, and lasting, compassionate change for animals throughout the Philippines. 

I believe compassion has no borders and that every life has value, regardless of species, circumstance, or background. Whether helping someone through addiction and mental health challenges or rescuing an animal suffering from neglect or abuse, every act of kindness matters. Every rescue represents hope. Every person who chooses compassion creates change.

This foundation is more than a non-profit organization. It is a community of people who believe that together, we can give a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. By opening our hearts and working together, we can rescue more animals, educate more communities, and create a future where compassion becomes the norm rather than the exception.

This is more than my life's purpose.

It is a movement built on compassion, proving that ordinary people can make an extraordinary difference for the voiceless.
